GrKs is a completely non-profit, volunteer-led academic society. We charge no fees for spatial software tutorials, open-access databases, career workshops, or peer-mentorship programs.
To keep our servers running and expand our remote sensing capacity-building outreaches in rural colleges, we rely entirely on optional support contributions from generous geographers, scholars, and spatial research enthusiasts.
• Dataset Hosting: Renting robust cloud servers to store and seed shapefiles, raster maps, and elevation models.
• Outreach Camps: Funding basic travel and setup costs to organize spatial workshops in rural colleges.
• Platform Upkeep: Keeping online resources accessible and updating QGIS/GEE documentation templates continuously.
